After early inconclusive ultrasound and discussion, client chose to go to an abortion clinic for abortion pills. While waiting at the clinic, and prior to taking the pills, she started bleeding very heavily. The staff told her to “take them anyway” so she took them when she got home. She went for a follow up appointment with the abortion clinic and her HCG levels were still going up. They followed with a surgical abortion. An ultrasound was never performed. Then a few weeks later she was in the emergency room again where an ectopic pregnancy was detected and treated. She was so thankful that we reached out to her.
