"I Buried the Fetus in my Backyard"- I'm Not Okay

This client has had multiple abortions but her most recent one bothers her the most. She had already had tests and found out the day before her abortion that the baby she was aborting was a girl. She recounts being at home all alone and bleeding a lot. She began to cry and said "he just left me there all alone" referring to the father. She reported that she saw the entire baby intact. She said, " I don't know what that pill does to them, but I saw blood fill her belly". She also recounted seeing the baby's eyes, fingers and toes. I asked her if the abortion clinic had told her that she would see identifiable parts. She said no and said, “They just said I would see some clots in the toilet….no one told me I would have to peel my baby off my pad". She shared that she didn't know what to do so she put the baby in her fridge for a few days to preserve it. Her ex-boyfriend came over during those few days, and she remembers asking him, "Do you want to see our daughter? She is in the fridge.” Eventually, she wrapped the baby up, put her in a box, and buried her in the yard. She said she still takes flowers to her every holiday.
