This client shared with staff about the abortion she had earlier this year. She stated she did not feel fully informed about how the pill would work. She felt like all they told her was to take the pills there and then in 24 hours she would take another set of pills and that she would have some bleeding. She shared that she bled for about 3 weeks and then spotted the rest of the month. The pain that she felt she described as being, “near death.” She shared that the grief and emotional pain that she felt from her abortion was worse than the death of her sibling, which she experienced a few years ago. She indicated that she felt anger, grief, struggled with flashbacks, crying spells, and relationship problems. I asked her if they instructed her on what to do after she passed the fetus and she said no. She shared that she just sat on the toilet for hours crying and bleeding and after she passed the baby, she just flushed without looking. She described it as horrible. When I told her about Abortion Pill Reversal, she was shocked, her jaw dropped and she said, “Now I'm upset, because they literally told me that there is nothing else I could do once I took the pill.”
