"I still have flashbacks." I'm not okay

During a current pregnancy, a client shared a story about her first pregnancy last year. She initially went in for a medical abortion at 8w6d. She took both mifepristone and misoprostol. When she returned for a follow up they noticed she had retained products, so they gave her more medication. Even after the second round of medication, she still hadn’t passed everything so they had to do a D&C. She shared she didn’t know she had anemia. Due to excessive bleeding she was rushed to the hospital and had to have blood transfusions. She said that it was very scary and traumatic. She still has occasional flashbacks more than a year and a half later.
