"They Don't Tell You What it's Really Going to be Like" I'm not okay

The client was willing to share her abortion experience with me. She did take the pill. She shared that she did not feel fully informed when she went. Taking it was nothing like what she expected. She said that she was told that it would be like a heavy period. She shared that the cramps were so bad she felt like metal claws were shoved up inside of her scraping her insides. She went to her follow up appointment and they did another ultrasound and told her that everything didn’t come out, so they gave her more pills. She said the second round of pills were worse and she thought she was going to die because the pain was so intense. She said she would never do that again. We talked through the reality that women are not informed well enough about this choice and she agreed.
